I am very excited. I have taken delivery of my most advanced video otoscope yet. The Otocam 300 has a powerful light source that allows me to present an amazing image direct onto the computer screen. It has a built-in heater that minimises condensation and ensures a crisp, clear image. I am able to take a picture of the image to point out any details to the client.
Images can be stored and saved and emailed to the client. GP’s are loathe to do face-to-face appointments at the moment but with this new service the image can be emailed to the client who can then forward it to the GP, so a diagnosis can be made and medication prescribed if required.
I have added a photo of my left ear to show the quality of the image. More photos of blocked ears and maybe even some infected ears to follow….
